Things are hopping here at the Maderfilm offices. We’re so excited about the footage from this weekend, and we are excited to share more of it with you next week. Ken’s been hard at work editing, while Emily has been hard at work getting the word out. This is where you come in. Be sure to pass on the news about Displacement to your friends. Share us on Facebook, retweet us on Twitter, reblog us here on WordPress, let’s let everyone know about this exciting film.

What does Murphy’s Law state again? Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong? We all experienced that very thing this weekend on the set of Displacement. We’d started out the day excited because we got to film with a very cool prop, this bright green Jeep Wrangler:
We shot a few scenes, driving around the city, and took a break. When we went back, Courtney discovered that the jeep would no longer change gears; it remained hopelessly in neutral. Ken and Aza jumped out of the car, while Denise, Emily and Caitlin ran out from the office and all began to diagnose the problem. Aza and Denise both crawled under the vehicle and put their car repair skills to work.
Upon inspection we discovered that the car’s transmission was being held together by a simple zip tie, which had broken and fallen off. Luckily, Denise had more zip ties in her makeup kit and came to the rescue. A little finesse, a couple of zip ties and a few laughs later, we were back on the road.
The rest of the day went well, we got all the shots and we are anxious to show you more behind the scenes footage and pictures. It just goes to show you that you never know what will happen on a film set!
